THE FLOAT or carroza used during the Grand International Eucharistic procession last Friday is currently on display in SM Seaside City Cebu.
On board the Eucharistic Float during the solemn procession following the Holy Mass at the Cebu Provincial Capitol were Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, Vatican Archbishop Piero Marini, and the Papal Legate to the 51st International Eucharistic Celebration, Myanmar Cardinal Charles Maung Bo.
The Eucharistic Float carries a custom-made gold-plated brass monstrance or the Ostensorium considered to be the largest and tallest monstrance in Cebu which stands four feet tall.
Serving as backdrop are replicas of the five major churches in Cebu—Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño, Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Shrine of St. Joseph, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Rule, and Archdiocesan Shrine of San Pedro Calungsod. The replicas are made of capiz shells.
The carroza decorated with roses, orchids, and with white liliums is on display at the upper ground level car drop-off area of the Mountain Wing, SM Seaside City Cebu. (PR)
