A 25-YEAR-OLD security guard was shot dead in barangay Bulacao, Cebu City yesterday afternoon.
Alejandro Bayawa was shot at the back of the head allegedly by Regee Labajo,22.
Labajo fled after the attack, said SPO4 Jelson Solibio, chief investigator of the Pardo Police Station.
Police said the victim had a drinking session at the house of a friend identified as Lino Arante.
The victim had just left Arante’s house in sitio Mapahiubsanon when he was waylaid.
Personal grudges could be the motive of the attack, police said.
Police said the victim had figured in an argument with one of Labajo’s friends. Bayawa and the man whom the victim argued with had been hunting the suspect days before the attack, police said.
