AFTER more than two years of being an onscreen love team, young stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre have declared that they are now officially a couple.
Also known as JaDine, the two admitted their relationship during an interview after “JaDine In Love Concert” last February 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
During the concert, fans rejoiced when Reid told Lustre “I love you” on stage. The two became a couple last February 11.
Rumors about their relationship started when a photo of Reid holding Lustre’s hand while sleeping during a flight went viral.
The two were first paired in 2013 when Lustre appeared as Reid’s leading lady in a music video for his self-titled album “Alam Mo Ba” under Viva Records.
In 2014, they appeared in their first movie together and became lead stars in “Diary ng Panget,” a romantic-comedy movie under Viva Films from a published Wattpad story.
Reid played the role of Cross Sandford while Lustre played the role of Reah “Eya” Rodriguez. Other stars in the film were Andre Paras and Yassi Pressman.
“Diary ng Panget” became such a surprise box office hit that in the same year, they had their second movie entitled “Talk Back and You’re Dead” produced by Viva Films and Skylight Films.
Their third movie was “Para Sa Hopeless Romantic” under Star Cinema and Viva Films in May 2015.
Both signed their contract in 2014 under ABS-CBN and renewed their ties with the Kapamilya network last February 16, 2016.
Their first primetime television series “On The Wings of Love” was first aired on August 10, 2015 and will soon have its finale.
After “On The Wings of Love,” Lustre and Reid will prepare for a world tour and will work on a TV series in June this year.
