AN argument between two drunken security guards ended with one of them being stabbed to death in sitio Paray, barangay Kasambagan in Cebu City at 8 pm last Thursday.

A witness identified as Santiago Gerodias said he and security guards Jelly Gutana Pase and Dosdos Cudiera were drinking inside Pase’s rented room when the two men argued over unsettled grudges.

Pase and Cudiera got into a fistfight and Gerodias tried to pacify them. Cudiera left the room and returned with a kitchen knife that he used to stab Pase 33 times.

Pase, a 21-year-old native of Tanjay town in Negros Oriental died a few minutes before medical personnel arrived while the 34-year-old Cudiera, a resident of barangay Gun-ob in Lapu-Lapu City, fled from the crime scene.

Police recovered the knife which Gudiera used on Pase and is pursuing the suspect.
