For the first time since her controversial arrest on Monday evening, Cebu City Assistant Prosecutor Mary Ann Castro showed CEBU DAILY NEWS via a videotaped reenactment what she claimed what actually transpired during the night when she allegedly went berserk inside the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) office in in Cebu City.

Castro staged the reenactment together with for of her companions that evening – Benjielito Lapera, Jonas Niñes, Gaudiosa Rodrigo and Hazel Mabuyo – who were now her co-accused in the string of cases lodged against her by the police.

Castro said they did not destroy the lock of the door of one of the offices of the RSOG contrary to the claim of Supt. Rex Derilo, chief of the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Castro said she asked Lapera, a construction worker, to pick (lugit) the lock of the door of Supt. Arnold Palomo’s office where Maricel Raffinan Gregory, the live-in partner of her estranged husband Greco Sanchez,  was hiding.

Castro said she employed the help of Lapera since he is a carpenter and if he did make any damage to the lock, he could just repair it.

Castro insisted the policemen were the ones who used force on them.

She claimed they beat up Lapera, as shown by the bruises and wounds on his face, shoulder and back. Castro said that if she were to destroy any government property by force, she would have employed the help of men armed with guns.
