There has been a shift toward developing countryside properties, as indicated by developers undertaking projects in outskirts of Metro Cebu.
“The fact is there is a need (to move out) partly because it is difficult to find land in the metro areas,” said Joey Zamora, assistant vice president for marketing of AboitizLand, Inc., during the opening of the company’s sales hub in northern Cebu.
Alongside the hub’s opening last Friday was the launching of the second enclave of the 60-hectare Amoa residential development, Surya, in Compostela town.
Up to 272 housing units in Surya are available for pre-selling, Zamora said. In total, the Surya phase will have 539 units.
Located in SM Consolacion, the new hub is a testament to the company’s confidence in Amoa, said Zamora.
“This is perfect timing. We see a potential in going north. We’ll be here for the next 20 to 30 years,” he said.
The hub will offer sales and customer services. Clients can also close deals or direct their queries there, instead of going to the first sales hub in SM City Cebu.
The development’s first phase, Samira, is already sold out. An additional five enclaves are expected to be opened for pre-selling one after another.
Official groundbreaking for phase one of Amoa will be in May this year. The entire development is slated to be completed in the next five to 10 years.
Meanwhile, two new residential projects, one in the north of Cebu and the other in the Balamban area, are slated for launching in the fourth quarter of this year.
Three more projects will rise in Luzon.
Amoa is AboitizLand’s 11th residential development in Cebu.
