CEBU’S rising tennis stars duke it out in the 2nd CitiGreen Junior Tennis Cup starting today in CitiGreen Tennis Resort and at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.
A few names in the long list of young Cebuano worthies include two-time Batang Pinoy gold medalist Elizabeth Abarquez, Marc Suson, Chad Connor Cuizon and former Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) gold medalist Shyne Villareal.
The tournament, sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) as a group 2 event, will have five age-group categories namely the 10-U, 12-U, 14-U, 16-U and the premier 18-under competition.
This tournament is also held in conjunction with CitiGreen’s vision to serve as an environmentally-sustainable tennis hub for the benefit of the public at large with a particular focus on the youth.
