Cebuano jins shine in Asian Poomsae Championships
TWO CEBUANO poomsae jins reaffirmed their status of being the best in the country, posting impressive victories in the Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships last Monday at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Manila.
University of San Carlos mentor and former Philippine Team member Glenn Lava took home the gold medal while former Southeast Asian Games medalist Rinna Babanto salvaged a bronze.
Lava dominated the 30-above event with style together with fellow former national team members Ernesto Guzman Jr. and Jean Pierre Sabido with a score 7.97.
Babanto, on the other hand, settled for the bronze in the 30-under pair event. The De La Salle University-recruited Cebuana stunner was paired with a jin from Manila in the event sponsored by the MVP Group.
