BASAK San Nicolas grabbed its second win in a row after outlasting Labangon, 116-103, in the Tanduay Basketball League held over the weekend at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

University of San Carlos guard Ian Ortega led a balanced scoring effort by Basak San Nicolas with 21 points. Yan Reyes added 17 markers while the veteran tandem of Rene Toring and former pro Danny Aying pitched in 16 and 10, respectively.

In the other game, Pajo bounced back from an earlier loss with a 65-54 win over Tisa.

Former Ateneo de Cebu ace Arc Gabrielle Araw-Araw led Pajo’s attack with 14 points to offset the 19-point performance of ex-Southwestern University wingman Mark Panerio.
