Cherry Rondina will try to add another feather to her cap as she tries to carry Foton to the crown of the 2016 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Challenge Cup beach volleyball tournament today at the SM By the Bay in Mall of Asia.
Rondina has already amassed quite a collection of beach volleyball titles starting with the UAAP crown last year and the Nestea Beach Volley championship last month. Although FEU-Petron’s Bernadette Pons and Kyle Atienza have the ceiling, Rondina and her partner, Patty Orendain, are still favored as their aggressive style blends perfectly with their airtight defense.
“It’s hard to predict,” said Rondina, a prized beach volley specialist from Compostela before joining University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP. “We’ll just work hard and do the little things that made us successful in the past.”
