A COURT room at the Hall of Justice in Talisay City caught fire Friday morning.
Talisay City Fire Marshal Randy Mendaros said their initial investigation showed that the cause of the fire was a short circuit due to an overheated motor of an airc0nditioning unit inside the court room.
Firefighters put out the fire at 8:05 a.m. or barely 15 minutes after it was reported to them ay 7:47 a.m. since the fire station is nearby.
Mendaros said they are yet to get information from the occupants of the Branch 65 court room if they have left the unit turned on.
No one was hurt and damages were pegged at P5,000.
