A female vendor died while tending her store in downtown Cebu City. Cresentia Lawas, 52, of Barangay Pitalo, San Fernando town, southern Cebu, was discovered by her assistant, Arnel Flores, 75, lying lifeless. Flores asked help from other vendors.
The Cebu City Emergency Medical Services personnel who responded to the area believed the victim suffered from organ malfunction.
Flores said the victim had a tumor and had been taking medications. The victim was brought to St. Francis Funeral Homes for an autopsy.
