FORTY persons linked to illegal drug activities surrendered to Lilo-an police and Barangay Poblacion officials Friday morning.

Poblacion barangay councilman Vicente Bugtai, who chairs the barangay’s anti-drug abuse council, said this is part of the so-called Oplan TokHang (Toktok Hangyo) campaign to ask drug suspects to quit their habit or involvement in illegal drugs.

Bugtai said those who surrendered underwent profiling and attended a seminar before they were released.

Liloan Mayor Christina Garcia-Frasco said she will coordinate with barangay officials, non government organizations and the private sector to provide livelihood to these people.
