A LOW pressure area outside the country has turned into a tropical storm Sunday morning.

Vhan Singson, weather specialist of the Mactan office of the state weather bureau Pagasa, said the storm will enter the country on Tuesday this week and will be called ‘Butchoy.’

“No public storm signal raised yet since it has not entered the country,” she said. As of the moment, Cebu is not included in the storm’s path but it will enhance southwest monsoon winds and bring more rains to the province.

Butchoy’s wind speed is at 65 km per hour and is spotted moving northwest.
