THE 2002 Legendary Lions and the 2011 Elevens kept their immaculate records intact as they came away with wins in their respective divisions in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference President’s Cup last weekend at the USC North Campus gym.

In Division 2, the Lions whooped the 1996 Chubbies, 77-67, behind a balanced scoring attack that saw four different players score in double figures.

Byol Tan led the way with 18, James Tagalog added 16, Rocky Alcoseba pitched in 11 while Andrei Ynclino had 10 to help Batch 2002 win their seventh straight game.

In other results, the Sipat 98 clobbered the reigning champions 2001 Dos Mil Uno, 85-58; the 1999ers blasted the 1995 Pirates, 91-67; the 2000 Millennium edged the 2003 Stallions, 54-51 and the 1997 Ronins routed the Pirates, 81-54.

In Division 3, last year’s runners-up, the 2011 Elevens, hiked their record to 7-0 (win-loss) with a 69-55 humbling of the 2010 Pioneers.

Big man Jose Jaca led the way for the Elevens with 17 points.

Hot in pursuit of the league leaders are the defending titleholders, 2008 Flyboys, which got past the 2006 Fury, 79-78. Nilton Otida waxed hot with 23, Nico Magat contributed 20 while Division 3 MVP, Don Adlawan, added 16 in the close win.

Batch 2015 also registered a win over Batch 2007, 70-68, behind the remarkable 35-point performance of Francis Galado. However, 2007 bounced right back with an 89-84 win over Batch 2004.
