NOW at the peak of his career, Pambansang Bae Alden Richards has never fallen short of recognizing where his showbiz career started. The actor-turned-singer and host sealed his new contract with the Kapuso station yesterday.
“Masaya naman po talaga ako to be part of GMA, and to be still part of GMA in the years to come kasi parang since I started po all the people have been supporting and guiding me in my career,” shared Alden.
It’s the actor’s way of giving back by demonstrating his loyalty and reciprocating what has always been given to him by the Kapuso network.
“Kumbaga, loyalty will pay off sooner or later. Parang ‘yun po ‘yung naging work ethics ko with GMA, na I remained loyal to the network regardless of the circumstances that passed and what’s up ahead,” he said.
“The network has been good to me, very supportive. I can feel the support and love coming from them so I really feel that I’m safe with GMA, and that I feel at home with GMA. It’s where my heart is,” added Alden.
Asked about his upcoming projects, a teleserye with his love team partner Maine Mendoza is in the works after the groundbreaking success of Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye”
segment as well as their first movie together, “Imagine You and Me.”
GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar assured fans that there will be a follow-up to the blockbuster film next year.
“May mga mauuna munang projects sina Alden and Maine together bago ‘yun,” she said. Referring to Alden, Atty. Gozon-Abrogar added: “Yung next kasi niya talaga is ‘yung soap nila ni Maine so the movie will come after that pa.”
In the meantime, Alden can be seen weeknights on primetime as he plays Lakan, a Mulawin in GMA’s remake of the telefantasya, “Encantadia.” Aside from his hosting gigs on “Eat Bulaga,”
Mondays to Saturdays, he is also part of the Sunday variety show, “Sunday Pinasaya.”
