Policemen to check buses for ‘bad guys’

By: Michelle Joy L. Padayhag February 18,2014 - 10:30 AM

POLICE personnel will soon inspect buses heading to various towns in Cebu on a regular basis under the “Cops Onboard” program of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).

“They are like bus inspectors in that they only get onboard on their respective town of jurisdictions. They will be in uniform and won’t ride all the way to the bus’ route,” said Senior Supt. Noel Gillamac, CPPO chief.

Gillamac added that their bus inspection program is a crime deterrent and they have enough personnel to enforce the program which is supported by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
