Little Dominic Learning Center holds first family fun run

December 26,2018 - 09:33 PM

LITTLE Dominic Learning Center (LDLC), a pre-school institution in Mandaue City, celebrated its Family Day this year with a twist, kicking off with its first ever Family Fun Run.

The activity, organized by the Parents-Teachers Association, was aimed at strengthening family ties through sports as the school also strives to provide their students with wholistic growth.

Carrying the theme “Fun. Family. Fitness”, the run was a perfect opener of the event that also featured a food fair on the side.

More than a hundred registered for the fun run. The pre-schoolers did not mind waking up early to race almost 1k. Together with their parents and guardians, they filled the streets of F.B. Cabahug.

The LDLC 1st Family Fun Run had three categories: Solo, Double, and Family.

Nursery student Raiden Bucog won the Solo category while Kinder student Elijah Benjamin Sanchez bagged Double and Pre-Kinder student Isabelle Noelle Simaringa emerged the Family category winner.

Prior the race, students and adults alike were so game for the zumba warm-up. At exactly 6:00 a.m., pre-schoolers were on their feet and all set to run waving colorful flaglets and balloons.

As the little runners reached the u-turn slot, organizers provided them with bubbles to play. And as they crossed the finish line, each were given the “Proud Finisher” medal.

Surprises weren’t over yet since after the race, Kidzooona’s Team Consolacion gathered the kiddos for mind and body games with their mascot Lala Chan joining the fun.

Aside from Kidzooona, the LDLC event was supported by Globe Telecom, Virginia, Nature’s Spring, Caltex, First VitaPlus, SunLife Financial, Xynk, Snack-A-Ttack, An-An’s Lechon, Paramount Property Ventures Inc., Winter Fluffy’s Creations, Bei Ann’s Cakes and Pastries, TechXperts, InnoPub, and StrategicPitch. /PR
