1 dead, 40 homes razed in brgy Kamputhaw fire

A fire swept through a congested community in barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City killing one person and razed at least 40 homes.
Cebu City fire department received the alarm in Purok 8 shortly before 10 p.m., Sunday. It was raised to general alarm which means that fire departments from nearby localities helped put off the fire.
It was however declared under control at 11:04 p.m.
A charred body of an 89-year old Raymond Belda was found among the rubble.
Fire victims temporarily reside at the Purok 8 gym.
