Former Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña has filed his certificate of candidacy together with his runningmate Nestor Archival
People in blue and yellow T-shirts crowded a portion of Osmena Boulevard where the Cebu City Comelec offices are located shortly before noontime today to show support for Bando Osmena Pundok Kauswagan candidates who filed their Certificates of Candidacy.
BOPK leader Tomas Osmena is seeking election for mayor with councilor Nestor Archival as his vice mayor.
Osmena is challenging the second re-election of mayor Michael Rama.
He lost to Rama by at least 6, 000 votes in the 2013 mayoral race.
BOPK candidates and supporters gathered for a 9:30 a.m. mass at the St. Therese Church in barangay Apas.
After the mass, they proceeded to Plaza Independencia.
At about 11 a.m., the group then walked to the Cebu City Comelec offices for BOPK candidates to file their COCs.
