Rude welcome for Ormoc teams in CYBL D-LEague
THE VISITING Ormoc squad got a rude welcome from the Cebu teams as they suffered losses in the under-15 Division 1-A class in the ongoing Cebu Youth Basketball League D-League 2015 which was staged over the weekend at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
The University of Southern Philippines-Foundation first handed the visitors a 63-38 beatdown before Pope John 1 routed them, 66-49.
Ormoc had success in the under-15 Division 2-B as it beat Ateneo de Cebu-2, 30-24, before it got blasted anew by the SACS, 71-21.
In other games in the under-15 class, Thumbs Up 2 beat Abellana National School Girls, 68-56, in Division 2-B, while University of San Carlos North Campus-B prevailed over Coach K, 53-32, in Division 2-C action. The University of the Visayas Mandaue also defeated MOCA, 40-38, in Division 2-D.
Ateneo de Cebu logged in wins in different classes, beating Coach K, 41-33, in the under-10 C before edging Thumbs Up, 30-28, in the under-12 Division 1. In the under-18 Division 2-B, Southwestern University claimed a 63-56 win over UV Mandaue.
