Lagtang rips Pajo in Tanduay hoop

BARANGAY Lagtang Talisay leaned on a solid second half showing to emerge victorious over Barangay Pajo Lapu-Lapu, 65-52, at the start of the Tanduay Basketball League on Wednesday at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

Former Cebu Institute of Technology-University standout Allan Dimco was the head of Lagtang Talisay’s attack as he finished with 14 markers.
The victors trailed, 28-34, at halftime before turning the tables by outscoring their opponents, 37-18, in the second half.

Former Ateneo de Cebu ace Arc Gabrielle Araw-Araw paced the losing side with 18 points while Mavii Suarez chipped in 14.

In other games, Basak San Nicolas throttled Inayawan, 89-71, while Labangon edged Tisa, 87-81.

Charles Singson exploded for 30 markers while Noel Talas and Briedyn Smith also helped the cause out with 22 and 17 points, respectively.

Former University of Cebu gunners Allain Abellanosa and Kim Gomez shot the lights out for Tisa with the former scoring a whopping 36 points and the latter contributing 23.

Games in this tournament are held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

The eventual champion will earn the right to represent Cebu in the regionals, where they will take on teams from Bohol, Dumaguete and Iloilo on May 28 and 29.
