MUNICIPAL Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Gersyval Vestal led the distribution of certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) to 23 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Asturias town, northwest Cebu.

The distribution of lot titles representing 23 hectares of agricultural lands under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) was held last October 13 at Bag-ong Kusog Sa Mag-uuma (Bakuma) training center in Barangay Bago, Asturias.

The new landowners from Barangays Tubigagmanok, San Isidro and Baye are now full-fledged members of Bakuma, an agrarian reform beneficiaries organization.
Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR-7) Regional Director Alejandro Otacan congratulated the farmer beneficiaries and hoped that they would make their lands more productive.
