CDN tastes first defeat

AFTER opening the Newsmen Basketball Association of Cebu with a win the other weekend, Cebu Daily News-Inquirer was brought back down to earth as it got routed by Sun.Star Daily, 70-54,  yesterday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.

Philip Cerujano was red hot from beyond the arc as he scored 24 points to lead Sun.Star Daily to its first win in this tournament for Cebu’s mediamen.
Calvin Cordova led CDN with 24 points.
