DESPITE missing two International Tennis Federation (ITF)-sanctioned tournaments, Cebuano netter Arthur Craig Pantino still remains at the top spot of the latest Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) Tennis Rankings for the month of June.

The 15-year old Pantino missed the LTAT ITF Junior Grade 4 Week 1 and 2 competitions slated last June 20-25 and June 27-July 2, respectively, after suffering from chicken pox.

Pantino has been sitting on the top spot of the 16-under boys category for three months now with Jose Maria Pague of Zamboanga coming in second.

Not to be outdone is Naga City’s Venz Alforque who took the eighth place in the 14-under boys category while Harland Hogan grabbed the tenth spot in the 12-under boys category.

Meanwhile, Carcar, Cebu’s Elizabeth Abarquez improved from her eighth place ranking last May as she climbed into the second spot of the 16-under girls division just behind Carlyn Bless Guarde.

Player rankings for the month of July will be released in mid-August.
