CEBU CITY–The alleged right hand of Kerwin Espinosa was shot dead in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) past 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Julito Prak was brought to the government-owned Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City but was declared dead on arrival by physicians, said PDEA 7 director Yogi Ruiz.

Prak suffered multiple gunshot wounds in what the operatives claimed was a shootout in Sitio Senior San Roque, Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City.

Ruiz said Prak was tasked to transport illegal drugs from Cebu to Leyte, which was the based of Kerwin, son of Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. of Albuera town and dubbed as the biggest drug lord in Eastern Visayas.

Recovered from his possession were a .38 caliber revolver, 50 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P300,000 and P100,000 in marked money that was used in the transaction.
