Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) inaugurates its Regional Crime Laboratory which will cater to the whole Visayas.

The crime lab, which will handle the forensics and investigations conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP), is similar to that in Taliban, Mindoro and Davao.

“We want to improve our services. This is timely as we brace for change, trying to achieve the programs of the president. Let us do our job for the best interest of the people,” said PRO-7 director Chief Supt. Noli Taliño.

Unlike before where evidences are sent to Camp Crame, the new facility will provide the tools and equipment for a modernized PNP according to Taliño.

Chief Supt. Augusto Marquez led the blessing of the facility.

The crime lab is located in Doña Modesta Gaisano Street, Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City right beside CCPO. The lot was donated by the Cebu provincial government.
