EVEN if actress Liza Soberano was a no-show at Charlie Puth’s concert last Sunday night, the Grammy-nominated performer could not seem to stop talking about the Filipino actress, even to the point of admitting to having a crush on her before his fans.

Charlie visited the Philippines for the second time on Sunday to promote his latest album, “Nine Track Mind.”

During his concert, he admitted that Liza caught his attention after he saw the Kapamilya actress on TV. He also shared the story on how he tried to
invite her to watch his concert.

“Apparently, I am attracted to this young actress (Liza)… sent her an invite, I’m just saying I sent her an invite but she’s busy,” Charlie said as the crowd screamed in cheers and excitement.

A fan was able to take a video of his confession, which immediately went viral online.

The two had been exchanging messages on Twitter. Fans immediately made a monicker for the loveteam as “Lilie” or “Charza,” a fandom now forming in social media. The international singer had personally asked Liza to attend his concert.

On Liza’s recent tweet to Charlie, she apologized for not making it to the concert.

Ahead of his performance on Sunday, Puth dubbed a scene on Snapchat from Liza’s movie, “Everyday I Love You.” The video was reposted by a fan and was retweeted by Liza.

“@charlieputh sorry I couldn’t make it!! Hope to see you next time around,” the Kapamilya actress tweeted on Sunday.

During his concert, the “One Call Away” singer shared that he woke up to about 20 articles about his Snapchat of “Everyday I Love You,” Liza’s film with Enrique Gil and Gerald Anderson.

This is not the first time that Liza caught the attention of a music artist who visited the Philippines.

In January, British pop band The Vamps lead guitarist James McVey gave a special shoutout to the Filipino actress. During a TV interview, McVey said:

“We spoke a couple of weeks ago and I’m gonna text her tonight so hopefully we’ll see each other in the concert,” McVey told ABS-CBN News back in January. “Liza, if you’re watching, I’ll sing to you tomorrow at the show,” he further added.
