TEAM Rama councilors are expected to attend the last day of the three-day Executive Legislative Agenda (Ela) meetings today.
Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella said yesterday that they did not attend because they did not receive a formal invitation.
Ela was scheduled last Thursday until today and was supposed to be participated by all city officials and department heads.
But Labella said they would attend Ela meetings today (Saturday) because the Ela’s purpose was for the the executive and the legislative departments to be synchronized on matters that the executive department would want the legislative to take up.
The meeting would include ordinances, resolutions and all matters that the executive wanted to be subject of legislative intervention, said Labella.
Councilor Sisinio Andales, a Bando Osmena-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) member, posted a photo on his Facebook page of the Team Rama members’ absence in the Ela.
Those present were only BO-PK officials and Independent Councilor Hanz Abella.
Andales said that there was no concrete project agreed upon, but they already came up with a list of target projects that had yet to be finalized.
Today, he said, these projects would be arranged as to which would be prioritized first by the executive with the help of the legislative.
He said that the Ela was facilitated by the Department of Interior and Local Government, and executive officials with representatives from the legislative department were grouped according to projects, such as projects related to economy, urbanization and infrastructure./USJ-R Intern Dafne N.
