A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN was shot dead by a gunman on a motorcycle at the back of the Cebu International Convention Center in Mandaue City last Saturday night.

Bryan Roldan of Sitio Sta. Cruz, Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City died after he was shot in the chest by the armed backrider of a motorcycle at the back of the CICC at 9:30 p.m.

PO2 Ariel Gingco of Police Station 1 at the Mandaue Public market said that investigation showed that Roldan was walking along the road at the back of CICC at 9:30 p.m. when people nearby suddenly heard gunfire.

Witnesses told police that they saw two men on a motorcycle wearing helmets and bonnets flee from the crime scene.

Gingco said that a bloodied Roldan was seen lying on the ground with five bullet wounds in the chest.

The police and the paramedics in an ambulance later arrived, and they brought the victim to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Gingco said that this was the second attempt on Roldan’s life.

Gingco said that Roldan and his friend were shot by unidentified gunmen last June.

Roldan was wounded on the arm while his friend, Ramsey Dequillo, was killed.

Gingco said that Roldan and Dequillo were suspected by a group of drug pushers in Barangay Guizo as the ones who told police of their illegal activities.
