FOILED in its bid for the crown in the last conference, Dormakaba played like men on a mission as it routed the defending champions Megabond, 71-51, in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association Corporate Cup last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
New recruit Jessie Paradero, former league MVP Ed Macasling and Eric Pummer scored 17, 15 and 14, respectively to complete Dormakada’s mission of vengeance.
In other games, Davies Paints and Sea Olympus also scored crucial victories. Davies Paints got 18 from Mike Cinco and 16 from Richard Badayos to nip Fenestram, 63-58 while Sea Olympus blasted Phoenix, 57-45.
Ayi Armenion had 18 points, four boards and two assists, Brian Acebedo added 11 while Justine Aspacio chipped in 10 to get Sea Olympus off on the winning track.
