Manila bets sweep standard adult 3 category of DanceSport sa Sugbu

Dancers from Manila swept the top three places in the standard adult 3 category of the 9th DanceSport sa Sugbu Saturday night at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug.

Finishing on top was the pair of Aldrin Perez and Cristina Armstrong.

The duo outperformed Efren Cesista and Anabelle Masongsong, who landed in second place. Third placers were Ryan Dancal and Yukiko Sakurai.

Cebuano dancers also logged victories in the competition participated by the best dancesports athletes in the country.

Crispin Sato Jr. and Yeddah Castañares bagged the gold in the standard youth 3 jig.

In the standard junior 3 dance, DanceSports Team Cebu City (DTCC) took the top three places behind the pairs of Lloyd Simon Asuque and Raylyn Romero, Carl Papellero and Kim Jocson, and Gylle Diluvio and Julia Branzuela, respectively.

DTCC duplicated this feat in the standard juvenile 3 category with Jaydel Pat and Angel Epe snaring the gold medal.

Their teammates Jim Jocson and Mitchioni Dinauanao, and Don Montecillo and Shaniel Hernandez landed second and third, respectively.

The World DanceSport Federation Cebu Open competitions was still being held as of this writing.
