DOH says Cebu City Hall has final say on Inayawan landfill

The regional Department of Health (DOH-7) said it is still the city government that has a final say on the Inayawan landfill, regardless of their findings and recommendation.

During Wednesday’s Kapihan sa PIA forum, Dr. Jaime Bernadas of the DOH-7 said they “highly recommended” the immediate closure of the landfill due to lack of sanitary requirements and several environmental, health and community safety issues.
