A DRUG surrenderer was gunned down while sleeping inside his family home in sitio Candayang Barangay Poblacion Occidental in Consolacion town at 3 am Wednesday.

PO1 Raymond Lleve of the Consolacion police precinct, identified the 38-year-old casualty as Eric Sanchez, a motorcycle-for-hire (habal-habal) driver.

He lived in the home where his parents died while his siblings lived in their own homes.

An unidentified gunman barged into his house and shot Sanchez several times then walked away.

The area is inaccessible to motorcycles. Sanchez was a drug dependent who surrendered to police during their Oplan TokHang. It was not known if he resumed using drugs or sold drugs.

In Barangay Poblacion, Minglanilla town, a suspected drug pusher was gunned down by motorcycle-riding assailants at 11 pm last Tuesday.

Paisal Laranjo was fixing his motorcycle along the road side when the assailants passed by and shot him in the back.

The 36-year-old Laranjo managed to run for some distance but the back rider got off and chased him, shooting him in the head.

A similar incident also occurred in Minglanilla but the suspected drug user identified as Ermil Mananay, survived.

And in Barangay Cantabugon, Aloguinsan town, a barangay tanod was arrested after he shot a 40-year-old suspected drug user identified as Tamil Repazo in the head inside his home last Tuesday afternoon.
