Man nabbed, P80K shabu seized in Daanbantayan drug bust

A 59-year-old man was arrested and P80,000 worth of suspected shabu, and a .45 caliber pistol were confiscated during a buy-bust operation on Friday dawn in Daanbantayan town in northern Cebu.

Carlito Canete of sitio Calumapang, Barangay Dalingding, Daanbantayan was arrested after he allegedly sold a pack of shabu to an undercover agent of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7), said CIDG-7’s Senior Insp. Lerio Coral.

Coral, who led the operation, said Canete would be charged with selling and possession of illegal drugs and possession of illegal firearms.
