Sorongon, Pescos top Milo Marathon Cebu leg
SULTAN Kudarat’s Ruffa Sorongon and Negros Occidental’s Rafael Pescos ruled the 21-kilometer race of the 40th National Milo Marathon Cebu Leg that was held at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) this morning.
Sorongon defended her crown in the 21k women’s race with a time of 1:26.27, while Pescos timed 1:14.01 to win his first title after taking a break for a year due to knee injury.
Finishing second to Sorongon was Cresabel Cadion (1:32.14), while placing third was Sandra Solanio (1:46.26).
Trailing Pescos were Michael Largo (1:17.03) and last year’s champion Noel Tillor ( 1:17.23).
The 10k champions were Abraham Kilimo (33:02) and Karla Cosep (49:52), while the 5k top placers were John Cliff Debolusan (16:15) and Mary Joy Loberanis (18:45).
The 3k winners were Kent Lloyd Gabiño (11:17) and Moira Frances Erediano (11:58).
