SEVENTEEN drug surrenderers who were hired by the Lapu-Lapu City government to work at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Lapu-Lapu City will be absorbed by the city government as job order employees.

In a press conference yesterday, Mayor Paz Radaza said the 17 were among the 57 drug surrenderers assigned at the MRF since August. They were paid P250 per day. The 17 individuals were the only ones left after their fellow surrenderers did not return.

Mayor Radaza said she appreciated their perseverance.
