THE cash-rich 3rd Play It Forward Badminton Tournament will unfurl on Oct. 22 to 23 at the Metrosports Center in Lahug.

The tournament, organized by the Primary Group of Builders Badminton Club, will undergo a major change this year as it will have an inter-school category.

But like last year, it will still be a fund-raising event for the scholars of the Primary School of Knowledge for Industrial, Labor, Leadership, and Skills (SKILLS).

The Age Group category will be played on the first day while the Open class will be on the second.

The Age Group class will have Ages 8-10 (Basic and Inetermediate), Ages 11-13 (Basic and Intermediate), Ages 14-16 (Intermediate), and Ages 17-19 (Intermediate).

Meanwhile, the four levels in the Open category are D, E, F, and G in men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Level D winners will receive P6,000 while the runners up will get P3,000. The level E winners and runners-up will take home P4,000 and P2,000, respectively.

Level F and G winners and second placers will also receive cash while Age Group winners will win cash and medals.

Registration fee for the Open level is pegged at P600 for the first entry and P400 for the second entry.

In the Age Group category, first and second entry fees are P350 and P250, respectively.

The deadline for registration is on Oct. 18. For inquiries, call Mitch Fernandez at 09166121537 or Edith Obligado at 09176321619.
