Two dead in collision in Talisay City
TWO persons died in a collision between a sports utility vehicle and a motorcycle at Lawaan II, Talisay City at 6:30 am Saturday.
PO1 Roel Detuya of the Talisay City police identified one of two fatalities as Romeo Gallarde Formoso and a female backrider.
The two were headed to Cebu City from the south when a Chevrolet SUV driven by 21-year-old student Juretz Mari Yap Bangayan hit them.
Bangayan was trying to overtake another vehicle from his lane when he hit the two who died on the spot. Detuya said the accident scene aggravated traffic in the area.
The two victims were brought to the St. Francis Funeral Homes while Detuya said they are still waiting on the decision of the families on whether or not to file charges against Bangayan.
