A Showcase of Gear and Glam at SM Seaside City Cebu

Glamorous fashion models and geared-up vintage cars conquered the whole Mountain Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu last Oct. 13 for the Gear and Glam VIII: Tour de Cebu.

The one-of-a-kind event showcased the most valued cars starting from the ’90s with the venue the same of that Grand Prix in Monaco.

SM Seaside City Cebu, in partnership with Performance and Classic Enthusiasts (Pace) and Fashion Council of Cebu (FCC), delivered the commitment for showcasing both fashion and classical car exhibition.

Valued cars on the top line are 1960 Corvette, 1967 Corvette, Shelby Cobra, Porsche 550 Spyder, Porsche 914, 964 Kharmann Ghia, 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SL, 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SE, 1963 Mercedes Benz 230 SL, 1960 Porsche 356 Cabriolet, 1969 Porsche 911 T – Frank Sauceda 1, 973 Porsche 911 and the 1972 Porsche 911 E.

More cars made the exhibit, dashing with an awe of vintage feels when it appeared to the audience like the 1967 Toyota S800, 1971 Datsun 240Z, 1972 Datsun Fairlady, 1959 MGA, 1966 MGB 1800, 1967 MGB GT, 1972 MGB 1600, Morgan 3-wheeler, 954 Triumph TR2, 1956 Jaguar XK140 Roadster, 1959 Peerless GT and the 1974 Triumph TR6.

With the expertise and high-end fashion statement led by Philip Rodriguez, the FCC members flaunted the stage with exuberant designs and styles of Cary Santiago, Albert Arriba, Arcy Gayatin, Dino Lloren, Ditas Rodriguez, Edwin Ao, Jun Escario, Mia Arcenas, Oj Hofer, Philipp Tampus and Yvonne Quisumbing.

Meanwhile, aside from the Gear and Glam, the historic rally of Tour de Cebu flagged off on the same day, touring the roads of Cebu-Bohol-Cebu. The Pace and the Manila Sports Car Club ended the road trip, inspired to promote the beauty along the roads of the Visayan region, on Oct. 16.
