PROMINENT families and actresses were seen together with their relatives among the thousands of people who visited their departed loved ones at the Cebu Memorial Park in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

At 8 a.m., Kim Chiu, a Kapamilya actress, together with her kin, visited the mausoleum of her mother.

A staff of the Chiu family, who did not want her name to be disclosed, told Cebu Daily News that the Cebuana actress flew all the way from Metro Manila to spend All Saints’ Day by her mother’s grave.

“Kim and her family intended to visit in the morning to avoid the crowd and spectators,” she said.

She described Kim to be in good mood that she even accommodated children who wanted to take a picture with her inside the mausoleum.

The Chiongbians, founder of meat-processing giant Virginia Foods Inc., also decided to visit the grave of their late relatives yesterday morning.

Influential political families in Cebu such as the Fernans and the Ramas, who included former Cebu City mayor Michael Rama and actress Anabelle Rama, were also seen visiting their departed loved ones there.

SPO2 Jeffrey Matunog, of the Mandaue City Police Office Station 4, said that they estimated the crowd visiting Cempark today at 25,000.
