CSBT records its highest passenger traffic during long All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day break

Alberto Joey Herrera Jr., chief of the CSBT management, concluded this after putting assessing the overall behavior of passengers who patronized the terminal during the long weekend, from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, and amid gloomy and rainy weather.
“We’ve observed that the passengers were really cooperative. They behaved well and obeyed the rules we’ve implemented here without raising questions. We can also say that they are well satisfied by our service because we’ve never received a single complaint so far,” Herrera told Cebu Daily News.
During the long weekend, the terminal recorded a total of 125,525 passengers based on the terminal fees they received and dispatched a total of 3,318 bus rides.
“This is the most we’ve ever recorded. But we’re happy that despite this huge turnout of passengers, we were able to manage the crowd well and prevented untoward incidents from happening. Our terminal staff who have been here for the longest were also impressed that there had never been any commotion for the first time,” Herrera emphasized.
“If you just strictly implement rules and make the passengers understand the importance of these rules, you’ll see that the passenger won’t have a problem obeying,” he added.
CSBT also confiscated a few prohibited items from a few passengers such as butane canisters and kitchen knives but nevertheless, Herrera said the overall situation in the terminal during the weekend was peaceful.
Herrera said they are expecting a normal flow of passengers today as people start coming back from their towns after the long holiday.
He said the security measures remains in place at CSBT, with a couple of policemen stationed at the entrance of the terminal to implement inspection.
