RP claims THIRD win in RCBL hoop
RECOLETOS Pilipinas (RP) snatched its third victory by defeating the Campus Planners, 103-97, in the 11th Recoletos De Cebu Basketball League (RCBL) at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Campus yesterday.
Ranel Embalzado fired 27 points to lead RP, which improved to 3-1 (win-loss).
Jason Mendez piled up 31 markers, Roland Aredidon finished with 30 points but the duo failed to save the Planners, who suffered their second defeat in four matches.
In the other game, the Guards stayed spotless after they escaped the Our Lady of Consolation Parish-Recoletos (OLCPR), 79-76.
The Guards climbed to 4-0 behind Julian Godinez’s 22 points.
Larry Pasatiempo and Brando Lustre each had 21 markers for OLCPR, which dropped to 2-2.
Meanwhile, the game between the Pacubas Main and Pacubas Basak was stopped due to downpour. The former led the game 16-8 when the game was halted at 3:36 mark of the first quarter.
