STEEP PRICE

Cebuano fans of the British rock band Coldplay were shocked when they found out that the Manila tickets were more expensive than those charged in Singapore or South Korea.

Pinoy Netizens announced in social media that they were flying out of the country to watch the concert instead.

Others who opted to stay in the Philippines jokingly said they were willing to sell one of their kidneys to buy a ticket.

GIFT IDEAS

A Manila-based PR practitioner said it’s easy to choose a pasalubong (gift) from Cebu City.

Though when he asked Cebuano friends what pasalubong they would recommend to buy and bring back to Manila when he visits again, they couldn’t decide right away.

The PR practitioner said visitors from Manila don’t have to bring pasalubongs anymore when they come to Cebu since international food brands set up shop here.

TOO BUSY

A local government official who was asked by reporters to comment on the project in their town declined to answer at first.

She later replied that she was “too busy to comment.” One of the reporters asked if she could have spared the time even for short answer.
