In anticipation of thousands of devotees who will participate in the Mass and grand procession marking the Solemnity of Christ the King on Sunday, the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) has advised motorists and commuters to take alternative routes to avoid getting stuck in traffic on roads where the events will be held.

The roads near the Capitol grounds, where the Eucharistic celebration will be held, will be closed to traffic starting 12 noon. Among those which will be off limits to vehicles are the stretch from Don Gil Garcia Street up to Villalon Drive.

The stretch of Osmeña Boulevard from the Cebu Capitol to P. Burgos Street near the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral will also be closed to traffic.

There will be no masses in all parishes in Metro Cebu from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 to maximize greater participation during the solemn event at the capitol.
