The joint forces of the Cebu City Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group (CAIDSTOG) and the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) arrested two women in possession of illegal drugs at dawn today.

The two women, believed to be drug peddlers, were identified by CCPO director Superintendent Joel Doria as Lolita Dionson Maranga, 56, and Virginia Montemor Molina, 33.

Doria, who led the operation, said the two women, who are residents of Barangay Tisa, Cebu City, were caught at 3:25 a.m in the city’s Villagonzalo 2, Barangay Tejero in a buy-bust operation staged under the CCPO’s Oplan Double Barrel Alpha.

Police retrieved one large pack and five small packs of crystalline methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, which weigh a total of 54.3 grams estimated to be worth P640, 740.

Both women are now held at the CCPO detention cell.
