Two suspected drug pushers were killed in an alleged shootout with the police during a buy-bust operation at Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Guinacot in Danao City, northern Cebu past 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Omar Miculo Baguio, who was subject of the buy bust, and his companion Rey Andrew Banzon died on the spot due to multiple bullet wounds in their bodies.

PO2 Raymond Ermita was hit during the exchange of gunfire but the bullet didn’t pierce into his body due to his bullet proof vest.

Senior Insp. Alejandro Batobalanos, Danao City police chief, said the two were in the list of high-value targets of drug personalities in the city.

Recovered from the suspects were two .38 caliber revolvers, three live ammunition, three empty shells, two large packs of suspected shabu, P15,000 in buy-bust money and P600 believed to be proceeds of their drug trade.
