ACTOR Baron Geisler is in trouble yet again after film director and seasoned journalist Arlyn dela Cruz slammed him for his “misbehavior” on set while filming “Bubog.”
In a lengthy Facebook post, Arlyn expressed her disappointment at the actor after giving him a chance despite previous negative remarks about him and his erratic behavior.
As she puts it, she had treated Baron, like any other artist, with respect, even encouraged him to remain sober after he allegedly boasted that he had stayed sober for five days.
But this was before Baron showed an “unacceptable” behavior on set, to which Arlyn refused to exactly say what happened.
Baron’s co-star Ping Medina described the scene as a recreation of how extrajudicial killings are possibly done. In the film, Medina plays an informant whose face would be wrapped with packaging tape until he suffocates.
In his Facebook post, Ping said Baron’s part was to remove the tape from Medina’s face, listen to him beg for his life, before the controversial actor leaves him to the three cops, whom Ping called Baron’s “goons” in the film.
On Ping’s post accompanied with his photo on a wheelchair, Ping narrated about the incident and how he ended up in the hospital after some minor fracture he got on his hands when he punched the metal wall following his rage to Baron.
Instead of following the director’s instructions, Baron reportedly unzipped his pants and urinated on Medina, who was still bound up and could not resist.
Arlyn has sworn not to work with the controversial
actor, said she has killed off his character in the film and further issued a warning to all fellow filmmakers not to cast Baron in their films.
The post got mixed reactions, mostly supporting the director. Tagged in the post were known people in the entertainment and film industry.
A few hours later, Baron posted a response via his Facebook account.
While he said “sorry,” the actor stressed that the issue was a clear case of misunderstanding.
According to him, he indeed told the director three times that he would do “something” and got the permission, adding “drama” could have been avoided if there was clear communication.
At the end of his post, the actor said he was disappointed and accused the director of “washing her hands” of the whole thing, as he used the hashtags #hugaskamay, #pontiuspilate and #epicfail.
