SHUTTLECOCK smashers from all over Cebu and some neighboring provinces flock to Metrosports Badminton Center in Lahug tomorrow for the Annual Badminton Tournament that will highlight Metrosports Center’s 14th anniversary in the sports and wellness industry.
The tourney is spearheaded by Metrosports Center, with vital support from Yonex, Sunrise and Crown Regency Hotel & Towers.
Categories for play in the Men’s, Ladies’ and Mixed Doubles are Levels D, E, F and G. The Men’s and Mixed Doubles have a Supermix Category where the pairings of Level A/C, B/B, or B/C players will smash it out for the top spot.
Players aged 40 and above have been given the option to play in the Executive Division: Men’s Senior Executive for players 46 years old and above, Men’s Junior Executive for players 40-45 years old and the Ladies’ Executive category for ladies 40 and above.
A total of P31,000 in cash will be given away to the category champions and runners-up along with medals for their respective divisions.
The Metrosports Annual Badminton Tournament is also sponsored by Park n’ Go, Smart, International Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Pocari Sweat.
