EASTWOOD City has become even brighter as new celebrities were honored, marking the pathways with new stars at the 11th anniversary of Walk of Fame Philippines in Eastwood Libis last December 1.
The new inductees were Liza Soberano, John Arcilla, Jennylyn Mercado for the film category. For the television category, honored were Jodi Sta. Maria, Shaina Magdayao, Barbie Forteza and Jodi Sta. Maria, Shaina Magdayao, Barbie Forteza .
Ted Failon, Luchi Cruz-Valdes and Susan Enriquez were recognized for News and Public Affairs, while Eddie Ilarde and Manolo Favis were honored for radio category.
Zenaida Amador was recognized for theater while Pepe Smith and Willy Cruz were given their own stars for the music category.
Since the passing of German Moreno January this year, his son Federico Moreno has stepped in to continue the projects of the Master Showman, including the Walk of Fame Philippines.
It started in 2005, patterned after the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Though there is no clear criteria in choosing the inductees, the late German Moreno claimed that it is based on one’s popularity and contribution to the Philippine entertainment industry.
For this year, his son Federico changed how the inductees were picked and divided it into six categories.
